Default Updates Were Not Configured Correctly

I've read all the other posts about this problem, but i am not able to press F8 because at this stage of the computer being on, the keyboards are not in use for some reason. i do not have a vista CD.

So can anybody help me solve this problem because i am not able to use a keyboard.

    Thanks a lot.

Run elevated CMD and execute the following command to stop Windows Update service.

    net stop "Windows Update"

Now open Windows Explorer and delete the folder, C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
The folder contains the Windows Update cache.

Restart your PC and re-configure your Windows Update settings
    then Check for Updates.
