    Default Multiple Desktop Folders

I have multiple Desktop Folders in Vista.

    Some have different programs indicated

I plan to copy all the programs into a temporary file, then delete all Desktop folders (the icons on the desktop will be deleted).

I will then either create a Desktop folder and copy all the files back into the single folder, or move the programs back on to the desktop in the belief that this will creat a single Destop folder.

    Advice please.

Create a system restore point first.

Can you give me the full paths of each of these Desktop folders? Maybe you copied one into the other...

    Thanks for responding.

    C:\Users\Andrew\Desktop\Desktop

    C:\Users\Andrew

    C:\Users\Andrew\Desktop

    C:\Users\Andrew\Desktop\Desktop

The first and fourth are copies. The third is an empty directory. The fourth is a subdirectory of the third

Just keep the C:\Users\Andrew\Desktop folder and delete all the other folders and sub-folders.
