Default Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file

Hi Everyone 'on' The Windows Club,

    The message

Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

appeared when I was trying to install the Iconoid program for Vista onto our Vista installed laptop.

Soon after the message appeared I searched online for a FREE solution.

Then I found the "File Association Fixer" program on The Windows Club website.

I then tried the program after downloading and installing it, but it did not 'fix it'!

So, I am asking for a solution - PLEASE provide a SIMPLE to understand instruction.

Thank you for your patience in this matter and I look forward to receiving your reply
    soon.
