    Default Size of Virtual Memory

    Hi,

Sometime I receive long scripts when using Firefox. These scripts tend to freeze my pc. I know that I can turn off Java Script, but I was wondering if increasing the size of the virtual memory might reduce or eliminate the problem.

    What do you think?

    Thanks

PS. Current virtual memory is set at 1321 MB (paging file size: - whatever that means).
I have plenty of free disk space.
    Is 1321MB a standard/default?

I don't believe increasing VM would fix the problem. Normally its 1.5 times the amount of physical memory if you want to set VM.

    Thank you for responding.

I have 1 GB of RAM, so it looks like my VM is about right.

    Best wishes.

    A

Ps. What is VM used for?
