VMLite - An alternative XP Mode is available

Did anyone do any tests to see how VMLite compares to the product it is based upon - VirtualBox OSE (Open Source Edition)? Have any significant/important changes been made to the VirtualBox OSE code? Have it just been slim-streamed for the particular purpose - Windows XP Mode?
