Lightbulb Monitor & display status of laptop battery with BatteryBar

BatteryBar (Free) is a simple, straight-forward, battery meter that monitors the status of your battery and displays your battery's status in the taskbar.

BatteryBar constantly monitors the status of your battery as you use your laptop. As it monitors your battery, it keeps historical data on your battery and provide you with a very accurate estimate of how much time is remaining on your battery.

you can try with this:Turn down your screen brightness

The LCD display is quite a big drain on your battery power. Adjust your display so that the screen is not fully lit, but comfortable enough for your viewing. This will help increase your battery run time.

I don't know why the guys at Microsoft do not create similar stuff as a part of their operating system, they should keep their developers busy

or they could utilize their trainee developers
