Arrow Find everything within seconds with EVERYTHING.

    Freeware - 334 KB (Xp,Vista,7)
    Installer or portable version.

This nifty program probably has been mentioned here before, but I didn't find it... .LOL
Now Windows search has improved a lot ,but it still can't beat 'Everything'....
As to where Windows Search uses file indexing (and can be adjusted where to look), 'Everything' doesn't need file indexing.

Why? Because it uses the Master File Table of the NFTS volume to create a database at first startup in no time.
So it really is fast as lightning !

Everything is available at voidtools.com and...it's freeware.

    FAQ PAGE

(Portable version tested on Win7 32bit)

Everything is available for Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7
    (their faq page needs updating...)
Still I prefer using portable versions on 7, when available.
