Everyone has to start somewhere. You are learning every time you ask a question. A time comes when you discover that you are answering more questions than you ask but you never stop learning.

There are also many competencies that Microsoft considers for the award. As a Consumer Security MVP, I would be hard-pressed to help someone with a development question. Then again, an Access or Word MVP would not likely know how to analyze a log for malware or be able to recommend the steps for cleanup.

Every MVP I know also says that they would continue doing what they do regardless of the recognition by Microsoft. I attribute that to being born with an extra helper gene.

Corinne, That was very well said. Thank you for encouraging everybody. As long as you strive, you will get places. One should never give up - it is a lifetime of learning. I know from experience because I am 71 years old - and still learning.

If the nominee gets it, the world will know
If not ... no one will know ... best this way.

Another nice read : In Recovery... | Goals, obsessions, and aspirations: becoming an MVP

Liked the sentence: An MVP isn't something you're awarded, it's something you're formally recognized as already being.
