FastPictureViewer is a small and fast image viewer for Windows Vista. It supports rating and copying images on the fly, as you view them either in windowed mode or full screen. FastPictureViewer is designed for photographers, editors or anyone needing to quickly review, label and rate large amounts (thousands) of digital photos on a regular basis. It was designed for Windows Vista and runs on all editions, including 64-bit ones, current Windows 7 builds, plus XP SP3 and even XP SP2 with some small pre-requisites.
It uses multiple cores and Direct3D if your hardware allows it, making it extremely fast by any standards. The complete install package is 1.6MB and the program consumes about 7MB of RAM after startup, making it the smallest viewer ever, but it can use up to 2GB of RAM to preload and cache images.
There are numerous features (starting with true color management) in a deceptively simple interface.

I'd like a copy to quickly review my photographs previous to process them in my regular RAW manipulation program (Capture NX2) and because of its tethered shooting functionality.
Hi, well this is amazing. I have thousands of images and often spend hours using complicated memory hogging software like Fireworks and Photoshop just to do basic stuff for my teaching.
This great program of Axel's will mean I can remain a novice but produce professional results.
