I have A LOT of favorites that I've organized into folders by category.
Instead of opening every favorites folder each time I open/close IE, is there a way to keep the folders expanded at all times?

I don't think that this is possible.
Perhaps another way:
- Go to folder c:\users\<your-name>\favorites\
- For testing: Move one of your folders into subfolder c:\users\<your-name>\favorites\favorites bar\
- Open Internet Explorer and enable "Favorites Bar"
Now the moved folder should appear into "Favorites Bar".
You can rename the moved folder with short names (e.g. "1" or "2" or "3"). So the "Favorites Bar" can store many folders. And in future you can drag and drop your favorites direct to this folder in the "Favorites Bar" - even direct from the Internet Explorer address line.
If you do not mind sacrificing a little IE space, you can do this.
Click the favoriyes star over on the right., and then clcik the small green icon with an arrow. This gives you a permanent view of the favorites. They can be expanded and will remain so.
My expanded folders also collapse into the folder list, when I restart IE. I don't know of any way to avoid this but there may be a hack, or third party utility that can do it.
Create a "Links" option in your Taskbar. I'm assuming you are trying to be able to access your favorite programs and such w/o having to open your Favorites folder every time? If this is what you're trying to do, create a new toolbar named "Links" and move all your favorites down there for one click access. After you have created the Links toolbar you just need to drag and drop your Favorites one at a time down to the links toolbar. If you find them being too long when you open them, just rename them and they will be shortened.[IMG][/IMG]

I don't think that is what he is looking for. He has made several folders, under the main Favorites folder, and wants them open all the time.
