    With Windows Media Center, you can record Live TV easily. All you need is a TV tuner, The tuner lets your computer receive basic cable and/or over-the-air digital channels, while Windows Media Center provides an electronic program guide and popular DVR features, like recording shows, pausing live TV, and the ability to fast forward to skip past stuff you don’t want to watch.



    After installing your TV tuner (following the manufacturer’s instructions), you’ll need to set up Windows Media Center to work with your tuner and download your electronic program guide (EPG). Don’t worry; this is an easy, one-time process. Just run Windows Media Center and wait for it to detect the new tuner, at which point onscreen prompts will walk you through all the necessary setup steps.
