So if you use the desktop version of Outlook, you can synchronize your contacts, appointments, and other information with your phone. You can also use Outlook Mobile to send and receive email with two different kinds of mail services:
• Internet service providers like Comcast, Earthlink, and others that rely on “POP3” mail servers.
• Web-based email services such as Windows Live Mail and Gmail.

Your phone can work this email magic without being hooked up to your PC, you just need to make sure
you have a data plan from your carrier. All you need to do is set it up.
