Default Ex-Microsoft worker pens Windows 8 for July 2011

A posting on an MSDN blog may shed some serious light on Microsoft’s upcoming release schedule. According to Chris Green, a developer who recently finished working for Microsoft, Windows 8 mainstream support is targeted for 07/01/2011 which is the first date that we have seen regarding the release of Microsoft’s next OS.

Update: The post on MSDN blogs has been seems moderated. View the Product LifeCycle Gantt Chart on his personal blog.

Already? Or then maybe not. Shouldn't there be atleast a 3 year gap between 2 Windows releases?

It's not going to happen in July 2011. July 2011 may be a reasonable time frame to start a beta testing program.

We may see a few service packs released as new technologies arise and need supporting.

I say, If you want a new operating system every 10 - 12 months buy a Mac.

It would be a test built.. like pre-beta or beta.. *** has been looking for this 3 year factor.. and personally also i believe too that launching an OS within less gap is not a good idea .
