    Windows Live Team Blog response, update below: Update: Phishing scheme affecting some Hotmail customers



    As of 3pm PT: We want to provide a quick update, that as a result of our investigation we are taking measures to block access to all of the accounts that were exposed and have resources in place to help those users reclaim their accounts.

    Check if YOUR Hotmail email id credentials were snatched: Was I phished?

    It checks your email against 19,544 de-duped, cleaned-up addresses using SQL 'LIKE' operator. By www.withinwindows.com

    Exclamation Update from BBC News

    According to the BBC news at 13:00 BST it was not just Microsoft email applications that were hacked but googlemail (gmail) and yahoo as well. So these checking.

    The phishing attack has spread to Google Mail and Yahoo mail amongst others, we're currently awaiting full confirmation on the number of accounts at each service. BBC News is reporting that Google have confirmed the phishing attack.

    That's why i always shouting off and keep saying...that use IE8, use IE8 others are not so safe, now suffer and see what happens

    Atleast the IE8's anti-phishing technology is proved much better than that what other web browsers have....

    Yes I fully agree Nitin, Using IE8 makes you much more secure. Its the safest browser. Here's one Live example I came across - meraTechPort: Why you should use IE8?
