Help with Windows Live Movie Maker. Please ;)

OK, so maybe I'm being really stupid but how do you trim/cut a photo. They're 5 seconds in length by default but how can I make them shorter? I still think I'm being an idiot and it's probably like the simplest thing but I need to know and it's bugging the heck out of me!

Under "Edit", you can change the duration.

you can try some other video editing software like imtoo movie maker

Im using Movie Maker Wave 4 and you can increase/decrease duration from Edit tab.
