Default XP suffers record drop, as Windows 7 adoption swells

Microsoft's Windows 7 took just three months to reach a penetration benchmark that Vista needed almost a year to make, Web measurement firm NetApplications.com said today.

As in recent months, both Windows XP and Windows Vista lost share in January as Windows 7 gained ground.

    No surprised.
First, do not compare XP with 7. OS XP technology was from 7 years ago.
Second, do not compare Vista with 7. Microsoft is not that stupid to make the same mistake twice.
    No Winner here.

I don't think that Windows 7 Penetration is globally identical in all industrial countries.

I would be more curious in a global analysis of the situation.
