@ Morrison58,
please be patient, The ultimate Windows Tweaker developer is a little busy at present.
He will reply a.s.a.p
Thank you
Just downloaded the Windows Tweaker program.
Win XP Pro, SP3
I also get a problem when I try to execute it -
"unhandled exception"
& if I say to ignore it, the program comes up
with no information about my system.
here is the error report:

It changes following one...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
works fine for me.... ok I want to know something... Do you get older Registered Infomation while installing 32bit App, which runs under SYSWOW64??
Im waiting for your reply.
Sorry I didn't get back sooner. Some programs come up with the WOW64 and some come up with the old. I couldn't remember for sure so I change my info at the old area to [my name]32 and at the Wow6432Node to [my name]64. I named them this because I thought the old area would be the 32 bit area and the Wow6432Node would be the 64bit area. Ultimate Windows Tweaker shows [my name]32. I remembered one of the programs that showed the wrong info was AVG free antivirus so I ran the set up again. It shows [my name]64, but it is a 32bit program.
Looking in my registry it seems that all my 32bit programs are located in the Wow6432Node area. I first thought that this was the area for the 64bit programs but I guess I was wrong. It seem that 64 bit windows treats 64 bit programs as "normal" programs and 32bit programs it has to treat them "special". It segregates them to a separate program files directory and a separate area of the registry. I think that is discrimination.
I like to have Control Panel as a menu in my start menu, it's one of the first things I set after install. Whenever I run UWT it overrides that preference and resets the Control Panel to just being present.
I suggest preferences that are so easy to reach through common OS dialogs, like costumizing the Start Menu entries, be removed from the ultimate tweaker to avoid this kind of mistake.
I'm not sure whether this is this the place to talk about UltimateWindowsTweaker issues, excuse me if it's not.
Yes this is the place to talk about UWT and please everyone be paitent as things are read and if there is a problem or suggestion then it gets worked on and resovled. UWT is a free application and now seen as one of the best that there is and is being downloaded many times a day. Just be thankful that the developer is a member of this forum and so sees things here first. Sorry if any one thinks I've overstepped the mark, but none of us can expect miracles overnight and we all have other things to do, so please be patient.:coolthumb:
The developer of this freeware has been down with a bit of fever, I believe. He'll be around ... soon :)
I'd like to be able to have Windows 7 default to showing the "more details" on every file copy dialogue instead of me having to click the down arrow each time.
Can the Ultimate Windows Tweaker v2 do this? If not, please add it as a feature.
I edited the Changelog for UWT v 2.0 to correct some spelling and grammatical errors, so I thought I would post them as it might be helpful:
