Feedback & Support - Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4 for Windows 10

Hello, new user of the tweaker tool here and a new member as well. A few quick questions:

Do you need to have the program on each account on the pc? Or will having it on the admin account set the privacy settings across the board?

Also, when a setting is turned off, does it remain off until turned back on or does the tool actively deactivate that feature every time the system boots? If not, why the option to auto start the tweaker with windows?

Welcome here! Hope you are enjoying our program Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4. Yes, most of the settings are applied to the whole system. You don't need to apply them one by one to each user account.

Once you turn off a setting, it would remain turned off till you turn on it again by any other tool, UWT or registry. Auto-Start tweak is there just if anyone wish to do so.

I'm aware they left an option in to get the notifications area selection list, it just isn't as convenient as their 2 click implementation in Windows 8, wasted pixels is also inconvenient. In some ways, Windows 10 is a step backwards from 8.1.

Additionally, i would like to see a section added for Windows updates, i currently have to go into group policy editor to change Windows updates back to 'notify when available and choose when to install', it would be nice to simply choose this option from UWT4.

Searched high and low. Tried the tweeker. Feature request: Boot to full screen modern UI (not tablet mode). The modern start in 8.1 was perfect. Windows 10 messed that up.... might as well have just stuck with the tired old icon desktop. The extra step needed to get to the modern start is absurd.

Maybe I am just being a bit picky, but...

I just downloaded UWT 4.0.1.0. In the Read Me First is says to "Place the downloaded UWT4 folder in your Program Folder...". I don't have a Program folder, at least not that I am aware of. I have a "Program Files" folder, as well as a "Program Files (x86)" folder, but no "Program" folder. Am I missing something?

This Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4 for Windows 10 seems to me a very usefull tool since W10 still shows many apparent bugs at this time.

But, I have to signal one point in UWT4 usage : the function "Create System Restore Point" that appears on the forefront and many pages of the software does not work for me.

It doesn't create any new restore point on my machine.

Am I the only one to see this problem ? Is it related to my configuration or a general point with UWT design ?

Would be interested in your answer on this.

Thank you for the appreciation. We too appreciate your feedback. Actually the problem you're facing is rare. You may see in the forum that you're the only one who reported it.

Can you try creating a restore point manually? Does it get created? Did you try creating restore point in a new user account ?
