Default Windows 10 cannot access files as they are on another disc which cannot be accessed

My desktop is running Windows 10 and has a 1TB hard disc installed. the disc is only about 30% used. I've just added a new 1TB Toshiba stand alone Hard drive, which has default partitions and appears to work fine, except that some existing files/programs cannot be accessed "as they are on another disc which cannot be accessed" I cannot even uninstall then and download afresh. Can somebody explain please, what is my problem and what can I do about it? Iain

    Perhaps you need glasses ?

There is a section for Windows 10 Management & Support...

    Hi Iain,

Try this. Right click the new/external drive and select Properties. On the Security tab click Advanced > Owner tab. Set your account as the Owner. If required, check Replace owner on subcontainers and objects. Also give your account Full access and under Advanced, check the Replace permission on all child objects option.

    Hope it helps.
