Default DNS Client in Services.msc is greyed out.

Trying to restart DNS Client but it is greyed out & won't allow any changes. Is there a fix for this?

It is the same on my computer too.

I think Microsoft changed it and it is now this way by design.

Click the "Start" button and then select "Run." Enter "cmd" into the text box and press "Enter." This starts your Windows command prompt. then Type "net stop dnscache" to stop the service. It may take a few seconds for the service to stop. then ype "net start dnscache" into the command prompt and press "Enter." This restarts the DNS service on the machine.
