Exclamation Windows 10 with broken MBR/Boot Manager after dual boot with Ubuntu

    Hi all,

    I made a huge mistake.

My windows 10 (latest) installation is on SSD (sda) and Ubuntu on HDD (sdb).
My bios is in legacy mode.
I have grub on sdb and it works when I point it there from the BIOS.

I cant get my Windows to work.
It is not seen as a system by os-probe, it is not reapairable by the windows USB boot disk I have tried the standard tools from it - restore, auto-fix for startup, I did some partition play with partdisk, bootrec /rebuildbcd, /fixmbr, /fixboot and many many more and I am lost.

I played with the partitions on windows 10 sda and i mess it up badly.

    link for boot-repair log: paste.ubuntu.com/p/PdmxdSYkSv

How can I create a proper MBR for windows 10 so that I will be able to load the windows system?

Did you turn off "FAST BOOT" in BIOS? Turn it off. Then go to BOOT options in BIOS to set SSD as first option. Then HDD. Then save settings and reboot. You may also want to use bcdedit and put Windows 10 on C Drive.
Let us know if you still face problems.

Try booting from the Windows USB Drive and do the entire process again.
Delete all partitions and install Windows in SSD.
