Default iTunes.exe missing & cannot be found on Windows 10

Had a problem with updating to the latest version of iTunes. Stated the iTunes64.msi was missing.

Removed iTunes and related software from Windows 10 via Control Panel. Downloaded latest version from iTunes (64 bit) and ran the install. Now I get a message stating iTunes.exe cannot be found.

Tried downloading app from Windows Store but it states that iTunes is still there although nothing shows up in the Program list to be removed.

    Any suggestion?:

Check if your antivirus quarantined the file

Navigate to C:\Program files (x86)\iTunes\. See if you find it here.

Uninstall iTunes, restart PC and then see if you can install it via Microsoft Store.

Did you see in Program Files for the iTunes.exe? If it is there, what happens when you double click it?

You can use programs like CCleaner to see if it appears in their uninstall tab. If it appears, delete it. Also, run Registry Cleaner to remove any traces of iTunes in the Registry. Then download it from Store and install it again.

Check if your antimalware is up to date. Try downloading Malwarebytes and run a scan. See if it is listed in quarantined files. If yes, whitelist it.

Sometimes, the issue is also resolved by updating your Windows OS.
