Well, if I'm understanding you correctly, you're asking if all your Vista apps will work on Windows 7 straight away?

If so, then no, unfortunately. Windows 7 won't have them 'installed' and if you operate applications that are stored on your vista partition, you could accidentally modify the application, and Windows Vista may no longer be able to handle it.

Better to be safe then sorry, and install those apps on Windows 7.

Also, please note that Windows 7 is not intended for Primary Operating System use, as it is a Beta, and will contain bugs - ensure you create backups on a regular basis.

Don't be scared in using Windows 7. You can always install it on a different partition if you do not want to loose your Vista.

For me, except for Norton AV 2009, all the other apps are working fine on Windows 7.
Messengers, Nokia PC Suite, iTunes, KMPlayer. Everything i need.

And the OS Size is not too big either, give it a shot. It would be worth it.

Agreed. It's very stable as far as I've found in the last 2 days. It even picks up all your drivers on the first run (as far as I've found)

You won't lose anything if you use a seperate partition
