Default Windows 7 Beta Important Update

Microsoft has released an update for Windows 7 Beta that is supposed to resolve issues with non-compatible applications. The Windows 7 update has a size of only 1.6 Megabytes and it might require a restart of the computer after installation. No KB article is there for this update till now....so it is not cleared what it will really fix....

I just noticed this installed via windows automatic update on Wednesday. For some reason I thought W7 Beta updates would not come via auto update?

You just change compatibility mode and you can install the software in window7. i think this way has no problem

Do keep in mind that even in compatibility mode, some programs will not install or run properly.

I did find out that the compatibility update made LogmeIn install and work.
