Lightbulb How to report bugs on Windows 7 RC

Windows 7 RC is out there. Microsoft is willing to focus on these categories:

    • Issues that prevent installation or upgrade
    • Any issues that involve corruption or data loss
    • Security issues
    • Regressions from Beta (Things worked in beta but do not work now)
    • Any application or device issues that would prevent you from using Windows 7 as your primary OS.
    • Reproducible crashes or hangs (issues that you cannot reproduce will be captured by CEIP Telemetry)

But Microsoft has removed Send Feedback Tool from Control Panel and you won’t get Send Feedback Tool in Windows 7 RC, if you need to report a bug that falls into one of the categories mentioned above, you may run the following command to start the Feedback Tool.

    rundll32.exe FeedbackTool.dll,ShowWizard

You can create the shortcut of Send Feedback Tool using the command as well.

I have a crashing situation in W7. That site really does not provide for a crash report. Is there any other web site to report a full blown BSOD?

    Thanks.

Do report the bugs to MS. Meanwhile see if something in this BSOD Guide helps you.

I managed to get a copy of build 7600,and changed it to an RC as my license key wouldn't work.
It's reasonably stable while surfing the web, when i use media player like yesterday to watch DVD it crashed after about 5 mins.
    I had build 7100 32bit,but couldn't get 1024x768 resolution as i have a PCI Express graphics card.
    I now have 7600 64bit,and my resolution's fine.

As we know, Windows 7 RTM'd and build 7600 marked as RTM build.
Windows 7 Beta Program has been ended officially since July 24. Now Microsoft ain't accepting any feedback or suggestions on Windows 7 RC.

To give feedback for Windows 7 RTM, you must use legit license and its still under cover.

The tool no longer works in Windows 7 RTM and Windows Server 2008 R2 RTM.
