Default Rename Personal Folder icon in Start Menu

somehow i accidentally renamed my Personal Folder icon in the start menu from "Smith" to "A". how can i rename/restore this item? the "A" icon in the start menu behaves as expected; it's just the name that is wrong. there is no "rename" or "properties" when right mouse clicking on this item.

I have screen shot of this issue.
    thanks,

    michael

Yes, pls post a screen shot.

Also open C:\Users and let us know what do you see the name of this folder as.

I don't think you can change or rename Personal Folder, while Windows is running.
try it. It may solve your problem.

Check C:\Users and find your personal folder name. (as mentioned by Anand)

1.) Type lusrmgr.msc in StartSearch or Run Dialog box
2.) Explore Users directory in left pane and see the Properties of your user name.
3.) Set your full name or rename your user name.

    Nisar,
Try creating another admin account to log in with. You should be able to change your personal folder's name/user name from there.
I keep wondering though how you managed to change your personal folder's name in the first place...unless you took ownership

Change the admin account name in the cpanel... & restart after it.
@rk although that personal folder is not customizable but i think the issue can be resolved by changing the admin name.
