    Default Libraries in Windows 7

Libraries are new in Windows 7. Here are some fast facts about libraries.

Libraries are where you go to manage your documents, music, pictures, and other files. You can browse your files the same way you would in a folder, or you can view your files arranged by properties like date, type, and author.

OK, but how does one eliminate Libraries entirely from the Win7 interface and services. I have asked on several forums and no can answer that question. I can't even delete, rename or move the Libraries folder which is stuck on my desktop. I don't use Libraries and want it gone.

Thanks Nitin, this will be very useful. I was already asked several times to explain the library concept. This posting will be excellent to point to.

^seriously in my opinion there is not a single valid reason to disable libraries or disabling them will make work fast and easier...

Agreed. I rely on mine so heavily that I'd be lost without libraries now. But even if you do not use them disabling them is rather pointless.

I've even gone so far as modifying the default image to something more suitable for each of my libraries, both the 4 default ones as well as the additional 9 I created.
