My computer is 64 bit capable...though been using 32 bit system for years now and w/ the incoming final release of W7 i've this desire to switch from 32 to 64 bit...mine is a home computer w/ some photo editing(Photoshop) and at the same time audio/video editing as well.. a Firefox die hard..any advise for a newbie before making the switch..

Perhaps reading Wikipedia entry on the subject, will help you make the decision - 64-bit.

Further in the article you can read on 32 vs 64 bit and Pros and cons.

I have been running 64 bit Vista Ultimate for over a year and have had no problems with this at all. I looked at the arugements mentioned here, but in the end felt that the enhanced security of 64 bit was worth it. I also thought that as 64 bit is the way things are going then it was also right to so do so now. I have had no problems finding applications that work with 64 bit. I will say that I have noticed improvement in performance, because when I now use a 32 bit system it seems clunky. My personal opinion is, if you have a 64 system then go for the 64 bit OS if not you have just wasted your money in buying the 64 bit system.

    This is just a doubt

We are using 32 bit applications in 64 bit OS, So which one will be faster or better ?

32 Bit apps in 32 bit OS or 32 Bit apps in 64bit OS ?

No difference. The system will be a bit more responsive ONLY if you have more than 4GB RAM, the app won't perform any better.
