Question Windows 7 System Restore error message

Recently fresh installed Windows 7 RTM. Happened to check my system restore status and was surprised to find out that it was turned off!

Tried to turn it on and I get these two errors.

    After I click OK.

Can anyone here pls check up their status too? I'm a little intrigued. Want to know if I'm the only one ...

System Restore is working fine at my end. The wizard to Restore opens up fine.

A friend of mine also had the same problem on Vista system, and he got help from this page.

Perhaps this will also do the trick for Windows 7.

Its due to faulty imaging by the OEMs.

Once again .. go to System Protection and configure System Protection for System Volume (C: drive)
Select Turn of System Protection and Apply the changes.
Restart your PC and re-configure and select appropriate System Protection option and Apply.
