Exclamation Is DOS loaded or by-passed in Windows 7 ?

As i heard, that in Vista DOS loading-up is bypassed.

So what about in Win 7.

I believe, that the bootstrapping purpose DOS had, has ended with Windows 9x era.

Or do you have something else in mind?

Post Dos Loaded prior to XP.

First DOS is loaded upon which Xp is loaded. SO in xp dos is loaded first. Becz the real mode can be only run in dos. But my question is does DOS is loaded prior to WIN 7.

There is no real DOS mode in Windows XP.

IO.SYS and MSDOS.SYS files that are a core part of DOS, have zero byte length in Windows XP, and are there only for legacy compatibility with DOS based apps.

Even though NTLDR first starts in real mode, it does not mean that it depends on DOS.
