Default Windows 7 Search & Powerpoint files

I copied a file, from XP to Windows 7, that contains Powerpoint files.
The file is in Windows 7 Documents Library.
When I search for the .ppt files or the contents of the .ppt files, search can not find them.
Is this a bug that will be fixed soon?

If they are located in a non-indexed location, when you search for *.ppt, the start search may not throw them up; you may have to click on the 'See more results' link, to able to locate them.

They are in the Library.Items in the Library are automatically(according to Windows 7 search help) indexed.
If I search for .ppt, search finds them, but if I search for a word in a .ppt, it doesn't find any of them.
Just in case, I did, specifically, index the whole folder containing the .ppt

Follow Control Panel >> Indexing Options

Check the the concerned Library is listed in Index Locations and it corrupted index cache could be the problem as well... So you may have to Rebuild the Indexing Cache under Advanced Options.

    Ramesh,

I have a file called Weekly.
Inside the file are .ppt files.
If I go to "User Name/My Documents/Weekly, I can see and access the .ppt files.
I have indexed all of it and search will not display the .ppt files in Weekly.

Check Search tab in Folder Options and check Include Sub folders in search results....

I have that set already.Regardless of what I do, Windows 7 refuses to find .ppt files in search.I can find and open them manually, but not with search.

Could it be because I am using the evaluation copy, build 7100?
