Perhaps r.k can tell why that option was grayed out ...
Andy the UWT Zip must contain a Empty.Ico to let users to remove shortcut arrows from Shortcut icons. Update the package.

..yeh, I was kinda vague on what actually worked... because I'm not sure.

I had tried fxvisor before my first post. After that post, I moved on to other things, and in the process ran a registery cleaner. I had already rebooted after running fxvisor, but maybe cleaning the registery did something, because after that I rebooted to make sure everything came up ok, and when it came up the arrows were gone.

Now, about the empty.ico. I just checked and indeed, I did not have that in the folder. I had read the readme and knew it should be there, but for some reason when I copied the folder over to the program files dir, it didn't copy copy the ico file. I just went back to my temp folder where I had unziped utw to, copied it over again, and this time all was well and that option is no longer greyed out.

Makes me sound like a dummy, crashing about my system without knowing quite what worked. But I have to fess up and admit that while I am really impressed with this forum, I don't know what really got the arrows off. But now I know why that option was greyed out

    Chris
