Default windows 7 never creates a scheduled restore point

i am running al last update level.
since about 1 month i notice that my system never creates a scheduled restore point.

the task scheduer service is active (automatic start)
the system restore task scheduler has 2 trigger definitions:

    1) daily at 00:00 and is enabled
    2) at startup and is enabled

    the condition:
start the task only if ac powered (i am using my laptop only with ac power.

    any help/ideas

Try changing the time from 0 to 1 am or another time. Also check the disk size for restore points and make sure you haven't used all the space. I have seen where it used the space up and wouldn't delete the oldest to create the new. Also try creating a manual restore point and see if it creates one

    Right-Click my computer /properties/advanced system properties/system protection

Have a look at your shadowstorage. Go into an elevated command prompt and type vssadmin list shadowstorage. See what it says for allocated and maximum (which should be 15% of your OS partition in Vista and whatever you allocated in Win7 - the defaults are differnet in Win7 depending on partition size).

Are you able to create a manual restore point? Check if the Volume Shadow Copy service is enabled or not.

yes, i can create manual restore points.
the only problem concerns the task scheduler planned restore points.
just today, for exemple, i applied the januar service, and a restore point(windows update) was created as usual.
and, i repeat i have free space enough on the drive.

    BENVENUTO
no, speriamo che il fatto che tu sia italiano non sia la causa del tuo problema

    Welcome again.
no, being italian never caused issues to computers, as far as I know.
