Question How to get the same folder view everytime in Explorer

Hi, can I set things up so I get the same folder view everytime in Explorer? Now, nearly every time I open a window it's a different view (list, tiles, details) completely at random it seems.

Also, Folder Options in CP is no help; the option I want is greyed out, natch. How do I 'point' Folder Options to a folder I want to use as example?

    Thank you!

Right click on the Library, go to Properties and make the settings as shown in the picture. Do not forget "Apply" and "OK".

    Open Folder Option
Click the View tab, and then tick on the Remember each folder's view settings check box.

But I feel you have already done that, than in that case use the method that whs described above

There is a time-difference of some 6-9 hours as I live in Sweden. I just got out of bed on some other little errand, and checked TWC.
So, I would like to thank you whs, riteshtechie and the hackerman for now; I'll get around to trying your suggestions in the morning.
    Thank you all!

whs; I don't use the Library system, it's one of the few things in Windows 7 I haven't found useful. Maybe it is?

    hi !

one BIG problem with W7 is that explorer doesnīt remember each folders size & position.
for some unknown reason Microsoft removed that from W7, making itīs desktop very primitive compared to XP & Vista.

but, there is a solution called "shellfolderfix":

ShellFolderFix - Manage folder window positions/size - Windows 7 Forums

the FIRST post is always updated when a new version is released, so you donīt have to read through all posts to find it.

    shellfolderfix actually works !

iīve been using it since the first version was released, itīs a nice program &
    it uses very little memory....
