    Default How to delete C drive with CMD

    does anyone know who to make CMD delete my C and D drive cuz my whole PC is ****ed and i want to reboot it. what do i need typ in the wordpad?

    no just deleting everything and buying new stuff.

    To erase and format go to command prompt and type "format c:/".

    replace the "c" with the drive letter of your choice but please be aware that once this has started you will lose everything stored on the drive you have chosen.

    If you want to delete the drive as you are throwing it away. Get some safety goggles, a large hammer and have fun ;-)

    If you want to delete everything from your Hard drive... Boot from Windows Vista/7 DVD and choose Repair your Computer from Setup screen.

    In System Tools, Launch Command Prompt

    Now type following command one by one.... assuming your PC has a single HDD only...

    DISKPART
    Launches DiskPart Utility

    Select Disk 0
    Select the target disk 0

    Clean All
    Remove everything...and Reset everything.

    This is the right way as suggested by Ramesh. Go for this and then create partition as per your choice.
