    Default W7 64-bit; how to rename/overwrtite dll's?

I need to overwrite some .dll's but only get access denied. How can I take control over my pc and do this?

There are already enough threads in this forum which will help you

Take Ownership Of System Files in Windows 7 & Vista

    http://forum.thewindowsclub.com/wind...s-windows.html

    http://forum.thewindowsclub.com/wind...ownership.html

But the easiest way would probably be to download and use Ultimate Windows Tweaker and add Take Ownership to the files and folders context menu option.

Having done that, you may be able to replace the system files too.
