Default How to change display language in Windows 7

    hi good people op

A good friend of mine gave me a Toshiba satellite T130-15H. Thing is it runs on a window7 home edition... Portuguese.

What can I do to have it run in English?

Open the Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > Region and Language.

Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.

Under Display language, choose a language from the list, and then click OK.

As far as I know, you cannot change the display language in the Home Editions. In Ultimate you can get the language pack. And since you have a Portuguese edition, it is also unlikely that you can even change it with a reinstallation. The so called "5 language edition" is only En, Fr, Ge, Esp, Jpn.

whs is right: "You don't have the proper license to install the language file. You must be running a genuine copy of Windows 7 to install and use language files. A Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI) can only be used on computers running Windows 7 Ultimate or Windows 7 Enterprise. For more information, see What is genuine Windows?" (from W7 Help file)
