    Default Windows 7 Taskbar Thumbnails gone or missing

    pleasee help me...
    last night my theme was changed by itself...
    it changed my thumbnail on taskbar... when the mouse cursor is moved over the icon, only the visible text or text (title window) only....
    how it could happen... is there someone can explain it with me ?
    and how can I restore the display to the previous view ?

    Sounds like you have reverted to a basic theme, as in, not an Aero based one. Are you / Were you using a custom 3rd party theme? Have you just done updates? If using 3rd party theme, have you re-patched the necessary system files?

    Do you have a restore point you can jump back to?

    These are open suggestions btw to possibly prompt you into what has happened!!

    Looks like your theme has changed from Aero to Basic.

    Right click Desktop > Personalization > Windows Color > Check the Enable Transparency box > Save Changes > Exit. See if it helps!

    ...or else use th Aero Troubleshooter to fix the problem.
