Default How do I remove a link in the start menu in Windows 7

    Hi,

I'm in need of some feedback. Computer specs: Gateway desktop, quad core, 4gb ram, Windows 7 Home Prem., SP1, all updates installed.

Problem: when I click on the start orb and it opens, at the very top of the window is an entry that says "Uninstall Programs". It must have been part of something I downloaded, however I have no idea of what.

I have been trying to get rid of it to no avail. I right click and click the option to delete from list, but it stays. I have looked at the properties dialog and gone to its specified location to delete, except the location is an empty folder.

Can anyone tell me how to delete this thing?

    My sincere thanks,
    Sam

    Also check these folders:

    C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Wi ndows\Start Menu
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

The Start Menu items appear here. Check if you need to delete anything.
