Default Windows 7 will no longer update

Hi members, Up until a few weeks ago, my computer was updating with no problems and then, it stopped and when I go to the update page, it is in red and says I have never updated ever. I've had two computer people come on remotely to help me to no avail. I wanted to upgrade to Windows 10 and it's failed twice. My computer is Home edition 7 64 bit. I am going on 80 years old and know very little about the technicalities of a computer. TY.

Run the Windows Updater Troubleshooter and see if it helps. Make sure that you use the one for Windows 7.

You might want to start a thread over in sevenforums.com -- PaulB, Snick, SIW2, and others, may be able to help.
If you do post over, upfront say you have a thread here also, and desire additional help.

What does it mean Windows 7 no longer update? Do I have to upgrade to Windows 10? Or I can continue run my Windows 7 but losing security protection.

Windows 7 will enter its End of Life on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. After that date, Microsoft will no longer offer patches and security updates for Windows 7. That means that any bugs or problems still found in Windows 7 will never get fixed. That ends on January 14, 2020.
