Question Intermittent operation of USB 3.0

hi, I have a very strange problem which I can not find a definitive solution.

What happens is in the title, about a usb-3.0 External HDD WD Elements.

some times it is "connected to USB 3.0", other times there is "the device can run faster if connected to usb 3.0".

the system is windows8pro-x64, installed by little, on a m \ b Asrock B75M-GL with updated bios, Corei5-3570K processor (Ivy Bridge) not o / c.

I think the problem is in the "Intel USB 3.0 Extensible Host Controller - 0100 Microsoft" .....

if I understand correctly, the USB 3.0 port is routed to said controller a few times, sometimes to the controller 2.0.

I asked for help from Asrock, Intel, Microsoft, but no response.

can you give me a little help?

When you see this, check Device Manager for errors.

I would try the device on another computer and see what happens. Also, you might try to connect the device to a different pair of USB ports.
