Exclamation New Dell Windows 8.1 Tablet ...maybe dead?

Using McAfee LiveSafe and it's active.
Tablet suddenly won't let any programs function (.exe and etc) can't pull up command prompt, can't start recovery....Nothing.. Ran a Virus sweep and it came out clean....I can still access parts of explorer and have access to files....when I try to run a program of any kind I get a flashing "theres a windows app for that" nag screen for the windows store......If I can't run a recovery do I just toss it?

I too bought a new Dell Windows 8.1 laptop recently. The first thing I did was to remove crapware from the computer and uninstall McAfee. The decision on what to keep and what to uninstall should be yours.

Create a system restore point, then check the Control Panel and uninstall any trialware or crapware you can identify. I have found that many of these trialware, crapware or these manufacturers programs create problems. But then that is just my observation.

Once you have done this, please let us habe your specific problems.
