Default Windows 8 keeps asking me for password after recent update

Okay, I am new to windows 8, but am rather good at tech. I have never used my password to login when starting my pc or re-awakening as I am the only one here.

However, since yesterday's update, my pc is requesting this all the time despite my settings stating NO PASSWORD. (It also has set my numbers lock off, which I can change, but WHY?)...I have found online to change my account back to local to avoid this (how it changed to my live account, I have no clue)...but it is till requesting my password!

When I go to user accounts, I am shown as administrator and cannot change it to standard as I am warned(?) that as the only user I MUST be administrator. Ok, but it says it is PASSWORD PROTECTED and I don't want it to be . I have tried everywhere to make sure that is my choice, but I am still requested it.

Anyone else have this issue since update???

Thanks for your help in advance, Karen

Since you're not using password at logon, I conclude that you're having auto-logon enabled. I suggest you to make sure if you've not lost admin rights:

    Hope this helps, Good luck
