Help, my Office H&S 2013 has gone crazy, will not work

I have a HP Pavilion 20-b020a computer with MS Office home & student 2013 and all of a sudden none of the programs will work! I have Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Write installed. When I open anyone of these, the program opens normally but when I begin to enter text, the keyboard freezes, the whole display goes dim. This is followed by a box - ":We are sorry but Word (Excel etc) has run into an error......... Another box suggests "repair now" When I click the repair button, the whole program disappears. The rest of the programs in my computer operate normally.

If it is suggested that I may have to uninstall Word, I have the disc it came with together with the product key. Can I reinstall word this way?

Since you have the installation disc and product key, yes you can reinstall Word.
