Windows 7 and Windows Vista features that need to be fixed
Hello everyone,
As you know, Microsoft launched the Engineering Windows 7 blog in which they want to start a two-way discussion about how their engineering team is working on Windows Vista's successor - Windows 7.
Windows Vista for Beginners has published this article in which we want to engage as many people as possible and discuss about what Windows Vista features/problems need to be changed/fixed/upgraded in Windows 7.
You are all invited to this discussion. Please make use of the link below and leave your comments.
See, from what we know about Windows 7 : Windows 7 builds on Vista code base, Its compatibility with Vista is good, Vista deployment will ease future migration to Windows 7, Devices 7 Application Compatibility will improve. That will be the focus. UI changes will be minimal, No major changes in the hardware requirements will be there in Windows 7, over Vista, Windows 7 will have 32bit and 64 bit versions, and both will be priced at roughly the same level.
So what we can look at or hope for is basically improving on some Vista features and/or getting rid of perceived irritants: UAC being one of the most talked of !
A poll here at WinVistaclub showed that quite a few actually chose to turn off UAC, knowing that it wasnt good for them! A case of the protector became too noisy for one's liking. MS, maybe, should seriously try and give the 'Remember my Action' kinda option...
We read all the comments we received on our site and other locations such as the Engineering Windows 7 blog and we compiled almost everything into this article:
