Thumbs up Hide & encrypt your data with Folder Castle 3.0

Folder Castle 3.0, is a trusted security tool that hides and encrypts your files and folders.

Folder Castle employs two methods of data protection.

First, you can hide a folder so that the snoop doesn’t even suspect there is something hidden away from him. Second, you can put a folder into a secure storage, which acts as a mountable virtual drive where you can drag and drop files and have them encrypted with instant 256-bit AESencryption. A valid password is required to access files in the secure storage or unhide files. The password cannot be cleared even when the intruder attempts to disconnect the battery that powers the BIOS memory chip. Once protected, computer files cannot be seen in Windows even if it’s rebooted in Safe Mode. Folder Castle itself can be hidden away without traces if you enable the Stealth mode.

Folder Castle lets you share protected files with other people. Just create a secure storage on a USB flash drive, ZIP drive or any other removable device, put files into it and give the USB to someone youwant to share your files with. To access files, the recipient must have a password and a copy of Folder Castle installed on the local machine.

Folder Castle, unlike some other tools, keeps locked files protected even in Safe Mode.

The full version licensed product costs $39.95 but the company MagneticSoft has been gracious enough to offer a limited number of licenses free as prizes to the members of WinVistaClub in its various contests. These licenses are meant for personal use only and do not free upgrades to future new versions.

There are two ways to get them :

    1) Submit any article or tip relating to Windows Vista here. Every week, one good one will get a paid version software free.

    OR

    2) You can contribute regularly to the growth of this new community. More on that here.
