    Lightbulb SiteLauncher add-on for Firefox

SiteLauncher is an add-on for Firefox that gives you a super-quick way to to open your favorite websites using only your keyboard. One special hotkey brings up the 'Launcher', followed by a unique key to launch a site.

SiteLauncher is especially useful as a super-fast method for opening websites you use often throughout the day, for example, many people would probably want to add Google, Gmail, Facebook, and Twitter, to SiteLauncher - what sites to include is entirely up to you.

Default hotkey is Ctrl+Space (or Ctrl+Alt for Mac users)

    Download and Install

For those that do not use Firefox (and that is most of us), AppLauncher that installs in the sidebar is a good alternative. One click and the application launches. Plus, it is always "on top" with the sidebar.

You can launch anything from AppLauncher. I used launch websites too, but now I use Links on the taskbar. That is more flexible - I can make subfolders. But now I also use different browsers for different websites. I like the speed dial of some of them.
