    Default Which is best disk cleaner ?

    thinking about changing from disk analyse to Ccleaner. but which one is most reliable in cleaning my local disk c ? i only want the best, freeware disk cleaner, as iam a resource worry wart

    My vote would go to CCleaner, any day.

    thx heres another one that could replace disk analyser which cleans files and optimizes the comps performance- (CleanMem 1.3)

    Yes, I think CCleaner is a good and safe bet

    CCleaner has my vote too. Never had the slightest problem with it. Just be careful with the Registry cleaner part. Not that it is a known problem, but the registry is best left alone.

    oh i know not to mess with the registry lol. thx for making up my mind.

    but wait!..yahoo is included in the install and dont want the toolbar hmmm

    You can un-check the toolbar.

    well now! it seems ccleaner has done a good job indeed! got rid of massive files..memory is in positive territory. i may never go back to disk cleaner option.. how do i know if CC is always running or not?

    CCleaner does not run in the background but you can set task scheduler to run it periodically.

    also, since i have CC, i dont have the need for "clear private data" addon for FF ..or should i keep that addon?
