Cool Best Windows 7 or Windows Vista Desktop Contest - Feb 2009.

Well, in line with our several friendly contests and prizes, here is another one for 'The Best Desktop', this fortnight.

Please post your Windows Vista or Windows 7 Desktop here.

You may use 3rd party apps, but kindly post just one screen shot and please ensure that the image size does not exceed 900 pxl x 900 pxl in size.

WindowsTalk has been gracious enough to host the prize for the best one !

The best desktop would get a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse (or a Vista Polo shirt or a copy of Word or Excel or Powerpoint or Outlook or Publisher 2007 - take your pick.) WindowsTalk would arrange to have it shipped directly to the winner.

    Thank you so much James

The Contest will remain open for 10 days and all desktops posted here, till 5th Feb will be considered.

    Have fun creating your desktop

UPDATE : Stephen Boots MVP, has agreed to judge this particular contest. Steve is a Systems Reliability Manager for UPS and an active beta tester for Microsoft in his spare time. He is also a moderator at the Windows Live One Care forums.

I am happy to have the opportunity of sponsoring this contest here!

I want to add that prizes are subject to availability; I will be ordering on your behalf from the Microsoft employee store (MVPs have access to it, one of the perks of the award), and they are usually stocked pretty good, but some items are back-ordered, usually clothing. The wireless mouse or the software are typically in stock. At any rate, I will work something out with the winner!

I think it would be neat if your desktop wallpaper was an original picture, perhaps a landscape or city-scape of the area of the country or area in which you live. Since this is truly an international forum, how about we start from there?

Note there is only ONE prize; the winner gets to pick one of them.
SoN: By desktop, we mean wallpaper, icons, colour scheme, etc.

No, they want a picture of your desktop with all the icons, docks, gadgets, ect. The way it looks when you turn it on in the morning so to say. Or if you have a special start menu or such you can take the screen shot showing with the start menu showing, ect.

He might, although he is a pretty busy guy.

I hope everyone is getting their desktops all pretty like.
