Roraniel, I think the fly-outs in FF and others are a real pain - especially if you have your bookmark folders 4 deep - like some of mine. The IE system is a lot more stable and when i am looking for something and don't hit it the first time around, I don't have to do all that fly-out navigation again.
And for IE spell checker, get this one ( ieSpell - Spell Checker add-on for Internet Explorer ). Works really very well.

Firefox is so much more customizable than IE and has add-ons that I would be hard-pressed to go without. I use the "quick reply" box when analyzing logs. That way, I can still see the log as I am preparing instructions. I find it easier to format the BBCode on the fly with a BBCode add-on rather than typing out the code.

There are also a couple of specialized Firefox add-ons used within the security community for researching logs and preparing removal instructions. There is nothing comparable in IE.

    Hi, roraniel.

Yes, the same. (If you find a Corrine on a forum and the corresponding rose avatar, its me. I have been using the same avatar for almost 9 years and use it everywhere custom avatars are allowed.)

That explains why I recognized your name! I participate at so many forums, I couldn't recall where I knew you from. I hope I didn't give you more information than you wanted in those replies.

Well looks like my default option is not there anywhere in the poll

I've been a long time (IE based) Maxthon user. Have got so used to its wide customization possibilities, just cant think of switching to any other. But I do use FF frequently too; and I also have Opera and Chrome installed and use them occasionally.

What is interesting about this is this poll seems to be a refecltion of many published market share polls. It also seems that there seems be quite a wide spread of browsers at the moment, but I wonder how many will still be around in a few years time taking into account the worldwide downturn

Maxthon is a user interface mask for IE correct? I thought about trying it out.
